How going outside can ease stress and anxiety!

Going outside can be one of the best ways to ease stress and anxiety. There are so many activities that you don't even have to leave your neighborhood for. We are going to talk about how you can use outside as a way to destress and feel better. All of us are going through our own challenges in life and sometimes we need a break.
One of the best things you can do is hang out with nature. Whether it is summer or winter, there are many things you can do. In the summer you can collect flowers that you see around the neighborhood or even grow your own. Being around nature can make people happy because of how beautiful it can be. Seeing animals running around and climbing trees. It's nice to sit back and relax just feeling the heat on your face. Playing around with water too during the summer can also be fun. You can play with your dog or even play with others in a pool. It's not only nature that is beautiful but even the sky too. Watching the sunset and sunrise each day can help the body relax. It may sound simple, which it is, but it's really effective. Finding happiness in the small things like that can help you live a better life. Taking the time out of your day to do the things you love can help the mind. Sometimes people focus too much on working rather than enjoying life. Winter also has a ton of things you can do. You can go sledding and even just play around with snow. It may be cold out but seeing the snow fall from the sky is a nice feeling. The cool air while driving or walking outside can be a comforting feeling.

Another thing you could try is hanging out with friends! Friends are great because not only are they there for you, but you also can be for them. You can make the most out of even going to the park. Hanging out can be a fun way for you to get out and do things without it just being you. Going to the mall, park, and restaurant are just a few things you can do with them. Getting fresh air with people you care about can help you feel relaxed. Enjoy your time with friends when you are outside. Try biking around the neighborhood with them or going to one another's house to hangout. If you are someone with social anxiety, even with your friends, there are a couple of things you can try. Try taking small steps first into it. You don't want to rush the process but instead feel it. Telling your friends how you are feeling about situations will help with communication between everyone. Even if you have to be the first to say something, you should. If they are real friends, they will understand and try to help you along with your journey.
Biking around your neighborhood is also an amazing way you can feel calmer. Sometimes when you look up at the sky as you pedal around can bring ease to yourself. It also is a good way to stay active and explore around. You can bike to the woods or even the lake. Feeling the breeze along with the heat of the sun can be relaxing to the mind. We all need breaks to just be ourselves and away from any technology. It gives us an opportunity to make self-love. Here is what you can try when biking: Don't take your phone. Only keep it in your backpack when you are riding your bike. On your bike ride try to look around you at nature and all of the amazing things it has. Even the animals running around you. You can do this with others too who enjoy biking around as well. It can be a daily activity that you take the time to do. Now I know what you are thinking, what about the wintertime? Well one thing you can try is driving around. Driving around town and going to different cafes or shops can be a way to get outside. Even if it is inside of a building, it still is getting out of the house. If you are someone who is old enough to drive, driving around can also be an option. Just be sure to be safe and not run into any problems.

People are more focused on social media and what others are doing, that they are missing the real priorities of life. Living. Getting out of the house and exploring the world is a great way to feel like you are living. Giving yourself that break throughout the day to just enjoy life can lower stress. It can make you feel calm with your emotions that you have. We all need that day to ourselves and not worry about anything else but living life. Spending it outside with friends and family is also a great thing too. You can become closer to one another in ways you might not expect. The best memories are made outside in the world. Sometimes it may be hard to adventure out because of anxiety or depression, but it's not about just being outside. It's about making those memories of everything else around you and feeling better about yourself. It will strengthen your mind and teach you new social skills you maybe haven't seen yet. Give it a shot and you might surprise yourself with what you can achieve.
